“ Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.” (Albert Einstein)
After successfully completing a traditional academic path where I was able to explore various techniques and materials, I remained faithful to realism. For several years, I created oil paintings, focusing a lot on flowers and still lifes.
That period was absolutely necessary because it allowed me to deepen my knowledge and also define my artistic personality.
Today, I would define my style as Romantic Surrealism.
Since my first exhibitions,I often chose to depict female characters surrounded by beautiful flowers and flowing fabrics. I enjoy painting allegories and representing them through gentle and romantic characters.
Before being admitted to the art school, I dreamt of creating stage costumes.
It's probably for this reason that, at the same time, I created sketches with fantastical flowers and abstract lines floating in the air.
Focused on the balance of my designs, I created them in black and white using India ink until I envisioned a series of paintings called "Four Seasons".
I enjoy experimenting and blending techniques to achieve unique effects in my paintings. I paint using knives, brushes, and even my fingers. Glazes enable me to achieve depth and a very subtle range of shades.
I invite you to discover the world I am currently creating on my canvases.
